Alison Free Learning
This research guide is based on Alison's published learning information, rather than a hands-on course test. Before choosing an online course, separate the cost of studying from the cost of documenting completion. Alison says its courses are free to study, while printed or PDF certificates and diplomas are optional purchases. It also offers a free learner record. Courses are self-paced, and its stated assessment pass mark is 80%. Start with one skill you want to practice. Read the syllabus and choose a course whose exercises match that goal. Finish a small section before deciding whether the learning format works for you. If you need a credential for work, ask the employer or relevant licensing body what it accepts before paying. A completion certificate is not a job guarantee or a substitute for a required professional qualification. Source: https://alison.com/about/learning-on-alison (reviewed September 8, 2026).
